We empower women

Women are at the heart of what we do. In all our programmes, we promote women’s voice and leadership in decision-making on matters that affect their lives. We support various women’s groups as they work towards gender sensitive reforms in various contexts such as in Muslim Mindanao and post-disaster affected areas in the Visayas. We ensure that women have access to information and services affecting their daily lives such as their reproductive health and livelihood. We also engage different women's groups in the context of emergency recovery, disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, and peacebuilding. A key strategy for change that Oxfam and its partners adopted is to raise awareness and organize women to creating  political spaces for their voices to be heard.
